With the temperature almost at freezing 'The Flash' and I decided not to stay indoors in the warm and watch SPURS on the telly (our nerves would not take it!), but to pop up the road to the Abbey for this F.A.Youth cup game. Luton Town really should have sewn up the match in the first half after having 75% of the possession and roughly 9 shots on goal, to go into the break only 1-0 up. Almost from the kick off in the second half, the Abbey equalised and added a second after 70 minutes. with only 4 minutes to go Luton Town finally equalised and the game looked likely to go into extra time. With almost the last kick of the game Luton finally killed off brave Abbey and set up a 1st round tie away to Southend United. An excellent game with lots of chances from both sides. A quick journey back after the game and home in time to watch the SPURS highlights. (The Piemans match report can be found here).
