And for the third game in a row The Flash and I leave home in clear weather and arrive at the match in the rain. The welcome we get though is warm and friendly and a nice warm clubhouse where the t.v. was showing The North London Franchise beating Reading FC 2-0 was just what was needed. After a quick drink we watched the match between bottom club London Colney and third placed Biggleswade Town. What should have been an easy three points for the away team on paper didnt quite go to plan as the home sides defence was akin to that of The Alamo. It was not untill the 22nd minute of the second half when an excellent free kick by Adam Bensaud broke the deadlock and the London Colney supporters hearts.A second goal was added 4 minutes from time to seal the win which kept both teams in the same league positions as they were before the game. The ground has only one stand, opposite the main entrance and this was all seating. A roadway in and out of the ground opposite the stand and behind the dugouts make the building of another stand quite difficult. An excellent food bar inside the clubhouse served burgers and hot drinks. The service was top class and Potters Bar FC could do with sending down someone to see how it is done properly. So an entertaining game and a very friendly club was left behind and the trip home where an evening of Dr Who on BBC1 & BBC3 was waiting.
